For 13 years, I served as the founder and CEO of a global nonprofit organization that took me to more than 30 countries around the world. Through that journey, I experienced cultures not as a tourist, but by living and working alongside local communities. It was in those everyday moments of shared meals, street food, and family kitchens, that I developed a deep appreciation for the vibrant flavors and traditions that define each culture.

Food is life. It’s a shared human experience. I’ve always been fascinated by how every culture takes the same basic elements and transforms them into something completely unique. There is so much you can learn about a people, a country, and its history through food and the ingenuity of those who came before. My goal is simple: to make the world feel a little smaller. Living abroad also gave me a firsthand understanding of what it means to build something in a place that isn’t your own. As an expat, I saw the challenges entrepreneurs face when trying to start and grow businesses in unfamiliar environments. That experience shaped how I think about resilience, quality, and the importance of having the right tools to succeed, especially in the kitchen. Those experiences shaped the vision for Spice Passport. What began as a passion for discovering authentic cuisines evolved into a business focused on helping restaurants, food entrepreneurs, and home cooks access the specialized equipment used in kitchens around the world.
